# Export Your Reviews and Uninstall Avis {#doc-title}

## How do I export my reviews from Avis? {#how-do-i-export-my-reviews-from-avis}

To export your reviews from Avis Product Reviews, open **Import & export** and, in the **Export** card, click **Download reviews CSV** for every review in one CSV file, or **Download media list** for a list of every photo and video. Exports are always free, and you can download them at any time.

- The media list doesn’t copy any files: “The list links to your photos and videos in Shopify Files. They are already in your account.”
- Avis’s own reviews CSV can be imported back into Avis, as the **Avis (CSV)** format: [import reviews into Avis](/docs/avis/import-reviews/).

## What stays after I uninstall Avis? {#what-stays-after-i-uninstall-avis}

After you uninstall Avis Product Reviews, your review photos and videos stay in your Shopify Files, and your products keep Shopify’s standard star rating fields. A short copy of the first page of reviews per product also stays, but your full reviews don’t, so export your reviews before you uninstall.

The copy of the first page is kept as data on each product, and Avis’s widgets, which show it, stop working when you uninstall: it isn’t a replacement for an export. To keep everything, download the reviews CSV, the media list and the compliance export first. Avis’s **If you uninstall** card, under **Settings** → **Data and privacy**, shows how many reviews, requests, products and files you have before you leave.

## What does Avis delete, and when? {#what-does-avis-delete-and-when}

Avis deletes your store’s reviews, review requests and moderation log 48 hours after you uninstall, when Shopify asks it to: “48 hours after you uninstall, Shopify asks Avis to delete your store’s data.” Review requests and emails waiting to be sent are cancelled the moment you uninstall.

- Uninstalling never deletes your photos and videos from Shopify Files, or Shopify’s standard star rating fields.
- **Remove Avis metafields**, under **Settings** → **Data and privacy** → **If you uninstall**, deletes the review data Avis saved in your Shopify metafields while you still have Avis: the copy of the first page of reviews and the standard star rating fields too, so a next review app starts without your ratings. “Your reviews stay in Avis”, and new reviews add the data back if you keep using it.
- If you move to another review app, export from Avis first and import the reviews CSV into the new app, if it reads a CSV file.
