# XSeo Results: Google's Numbers for Your Store {#doc-title}

By [B2B Gold](/about/#how-we-write) Updated 6 November 2026 [XSeo page](/shopify/xseo/) [XSeo on the Shopify App Store](https://apps.shopify.com/xseo?utm_source=b2bgold.app&utm_medium=referral&utm_campaign=docs&utm_content=docs/xseo/results&utm_term=docs-header)

## What does Results show? {#what-does-results-show}

XSeo’s **Results** page shows Google’s own numbers for your Shopify store. With Search Console connected, it shows clicks and searches from Google and compares the pages XSeo changed with the pages it didn’t. Without it, Results still shows store speed from Google PageSpeed Insights and real visitors’ numbers from Chrome. The page only reads: it changes nothing.

XSeo is a Shopify app for SEO and images. With Search Console connected, Results shows, through Google’s latest day:

- **Clicks from Google**: the last 28 days against the 28 days before, as a total and a daily line, with XSeo’s runs in that window marked and listed.
- **Pages XSeo changed, and the rest**, explained below.
- **Impressions** and **Clicks from Google Images**, for the same 28 days.
- **Is a page on Google?**, **Pages not on Google**, **Searches you track** and **Worth a look**: see [Search Console in XSeo](/docs/xseo/search-console/).
- **Top in Google**: your top searches, image searches and pages by clicks, each with its average position.

A run’s mark shows when XSeo changed something, not what moved the numbers. Beside these are **Store speed**, **Space saved**, **Real visitors (Chrome)** and **Monthly report**, whose email adds Google’s numbers once Search Console is connected.

## How does XSeo compare changed pages with the rest? {#how-does-xseo-compare-changed-pages-with-the-rest}

XSeo compares the pages a run changed with untouched pages of the same kind: their clicks from Google in the 28 days before the run against days 8 to 35 after it, skipping the first week because Google needs time to see a change. **Pages XSeo changed, and the rest** shows the newest comparison. It’s a comparison, not proof of cause.

The card shows each group’s clicks before and after, the difference against untouched pages with a likely range, and a badge: **Better**, **Worse**, **No clear change** or **Not enough data**, under XSeo’s reminder that seasons, prices, Google updates and other changes move these numbers too. **Every run’s comparison** adds impressions, click-through rate and average position.

- **No clear change** is a normal result: a difference counts as clear only when its likely range leaves out zero and it’s at least 5% for clicks or impressions, 0.1 percentage points for click-through rate or 0.3 for average position.
- **Not enough data** means fewer than 3 changed or untouched pages appeared in Google’s results, or under 20 clicks, or 100 impressions, before the run.
- **Too early to tell** gives the day the comparison should be ready, about 3 days after its second window ends, as Search Console’s numbers lag.

SEO text, category and barcode runs are compared on Google Search, image optimisation and alt text runs on Google Images; other runs, such as translations, link fixes and redirects, aren’t. The card says when another run changed the same pages meanwhile.

## How do I check if a page is on Google? {#how-do-i-check-if-a-page-is-on-google}

To check if a page is on Google, enter its address under **Is a page on Google?** on **Results** and click **Check**: XSeo gives Search Console’s answer in plain words, with Google’s reason and a fix where XSeo has one. It needs Search Console connected: [how XSeo checks whether a page is on Google](/docs/xseo/search-console/#is-a-page-on-google).

## How does XSeo measure store speed? {#how-does-xseo-measure-store-speed}

XSeo measures store speed with Google PageSpeed Insights: your home page, a product page and a collection page, on mobile and desktop, three tests each, keeping the middle result. It measures when you install XSeo, when you click **Check again**, 10 minutes after you optimise images, at most once a day, and once a month. No Google sign-in is needed.

- **Which pages:** your home page, the published product with the most images and the collection with the most products, among the 50 most recently updated.
- **Store speed** on **Results** shows the home page’s score **Before**, at the first check, and **Latest**, per device, in Google’s bands: **slow** below 50, **average** from 50 to 89, **fast** from 90.
- **Details** shows every page and device: speed score, how fast the main content shows and image weight, before and latest.

Scores can move a few points between checks, as lab tests vary with network and device conditions ([Google: about PageSpeed Insights](https://developers.google.com/speed/docs/insights/v5/about), checked 6 November 2026); a page slower beyond that at the monthly check is listed under **Slower at the monthly re-check**. Nothing is measured while your store is password-protected. XSeo promises no score: where one didn’t improve, it says the cause isn’t images and usually comes from your theme or other apps.

## How do I see what slows my store? {#how-do-i-see-what-slows-my-store}

To see what slows your store, open **Results**, click **Details** on **Store speed**, then **Show what slows it**: XSeo explains the latest PageSpeed check for your home, product or collection page, on mobile or desktop, and says who can change each thing it lists.

- **Largest element (LCP)**: the page’s largest element and where its time went.
- **Scripts and files by app or service**: what each downloaded and how long it kept the browser busy.
- **Files that hold up the first paint**, and **Images bigger than needed**.

XSeo can fix one thing there: an image from your Shopify Files that a page loads at full size, which it can shrink and compress. The rest is for your theme, its developer or the app that added it: “Removing an app’s leftover scripts is done in your theme or in the app, never by XSeo.”

## What do real visitors’ numbers show? {#what-do-real-visitors-numbers-show}

XSeo’s **Real visitors (Chrome)** card shows how Chrome visitors experienced your whole store over the last 28 days, from Google’s Chrome UX Report: loading (LCP), responsiveness (INP) and visual stability (CLS) at the 75th percentile, on phones, or on computers when phones have no data. XSeo fetches them weekly, without a Google sign-in.

Each value is coloured by its band; **Details** labels it **good**, **needs improvement** or **poor** and adds the share of good visits and how each value moved. Google’s thresholds for good are 2.5 seconds for LCP, 200 ms for INP and 0.1 for CLS ([Google Search Central: Core Web Vitals](https://developers.google.com/search/docs/appearance/core-web-vitals), checked 6 November 2026).

A small or password-protected store may show “No data yet. Google publishes it only for stores with enough Chrome visitors and no password.” ([Chrome for Developers: CrUX methodology](https://developer.chrome.com/docs/crux/methodology)). Search Console’s Core Web Vitals report uses this kind of real-visitor data, not lab tests ([Search Console Help: Core Web Vitals report](https://support.google.com/webmasters/answer/9205520), checked 6 November 2026).
